United we can overcome Anything
For the last three weeks or so we have seen the unimaginable destruction from mother nature. One of the countries hit was my home country of Puerto Rico. It was first hit by Hurricane IRMA that caused partial damage to the island. Then came Hurricane MARIA and delivered the knockout punch with a direct hit.
I am originally from a city called Mayaguez which is on the western part of the island. It has been very hard to see images of the city, and neighborhoods that I grew up in devastated. It has been even harder to see families that have lost everything they have, except for the clothes on their backs.
I personally know how it feels to be in such a situation. Back when I was a child in Puerto Rico, my family also lost everything they had worked for in just a matter of hours to a flood.
WisconsinSmiles has joined the effort with a Hurricane Relief Drive at our office.
We are looking for non-perishable food items like clothing, batteries, hygiene products, diapers, baby formula, fans, blankets, pet food, etc.
Please do not bring cash or checks. We cannot accept them. Any monetary donation can be made directly to the Red Cross or any other organization working to send relief to Puerto Rico.
For more information feel free to call WisconsinSmiles at 414-383-5833 or Emergency Dental of Milwaukee at 414-777-0911
My family and I, the employees of WisconsinSmiles, Emergency Dental of Milwaukee and the people of Puerto Rico thank you for your support and generosity.
